Photos - image rights

  1. The images used on the sport.brussels web site belong to the Brussels Planning Office or any other natural or legal person mentioned by the copyright.
  2. Reproduction of photographs and illustrations is prohibited without prior authorisation.
  3. Under applicable rules to image rights, any non-public person who would appear in a photograph for which he/she had not expressly authorised its publication on this site may, on simple request, have it withdrawn.
  4. For the employees of sports organizations who upload images in the manager tool, the following applies:
    1. Adding an image consents to its use and distribution on the public website of sport.brussels, the public websites of the VGC, its partner organizations from the N network and other partners.
    2. The uploading of visual material implies that the copyrights and rights of the persons depicted (in particular image rights) are respected and that the necessary authorizations for the use and dissemination of this image on the aforementioned channels have been obtained.

Collecting personal data

The following personal data may be present on sport.brussels

  • a first name and surname;
  • a personal address;
  • an email address such as first_name.name@company.com;
  • a (mobile) phone number

Personal information are collected by Perspective through the following channels:

  • Data encoded on sport.brussels, by an organisation, event or sporting facilities manager;
  • Data from databases of sport.brussels partners (CoCoF, VGC, Brussels Local Authorities, Brussels communes).

Any personal information may be made invisible to the public or deleted by the person who encoded it or, on simple request, by the Perspective teams: sport@perspective.brussels

Purposes of processing and legal bases

This information is used exclusively with a view to centralising information on sport in the Brussels Region for the public and to have a better general knowledge of sport in the Brussels Region. In addition, this information is used for non-commercial purposes by Perspective and sport.brussels partners (CoCoF, VGC, Brussels Local Authorities1, communes or other organisations governed by public law or working in the public interest and explicitly mandated by an organisation governed by public law) and is not in any case sold to third parties. It may be saved in a users’ database and is processed confidentially, in accordance with the Order of 29 July 2015 concerning creation of the Brussels Planning Office2, the Regulation on protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data (GDPR), and the law of 30 July 2018, on protection of privacy with regard to the processing of personal data.

Retention period

Via email to sport@perspective.brussels, you may ask for the retention time of different data which may vary according to the type of data. In exceptional cases and at the request of authorities, your personal data may be retained for longer than the period initially anticipated by Perspective,
